10 Important Things You Miss When NOT Living Alone

Hello guys!

How are you?
Today I want to introduce you to a lovely guest blogger. Her name is Louisa and she has a lovely blog about love, relationships and all her experiences. Please check her blog here *Link*. Enjoy!

Hey! Here's Louisa :) I just recently moved into my very first own apartment, so I wanted to share with you 10 reasons why you should live alone. I thought about living in an apartment with another roommate because of the social aspects, however, I was bothered if I would have to make too much compromises and couldn't stand my roommate or just don't share the same lifestyle like him or her. And by the way, unfortunately, I am a pretty intolerant person.

#1 More responsibility
When you are living alone, you have to take more responsibility, however, that only matures you in a positive way. You learn to handle or organise things on your own and you learn that you don't need anybody any more to organise your life.

#2 Your own apartment - your personality
The good thing about your own apartment is that you can create and design your place exactly the way you want it to be. Every detail and every item represents your own personality and in the whole apartment "is your spirit".

#3 Better social life
While being alone, you are automatically forced to socialize more as being alone can be frustrating in the beginning. Every weekend I hang out with other friends which improves my relationships a lot.

#4 No compromises
While living alone, you don't have to do any compromises with your roommate. You can set your own sleeping time or learning time, you can go clubbing when you want and come home with anyone who want and at any time. No one judges about your lifestyle.

#5 Everything is how you want it to be
Without a roommate, everything stays automatically cleaner, also all the food in the fridge is yours and no one uses up your cosmetic products.

#6 Start talking to yourself
A funny side effect is that you start talking to yourself or you just turn on the TV all the time. I have no clue why that happens :D

#7 Start cooking more
Ordering food for one person isn't always possible and sitting in a restaurant alone is also not always the funniest thing. Thus, you start cooking more, also because no one judges about your cooking skills. Additionally, when you start cooking for yourself, you might start cooking a lot healthier as you become conscience of what you put into your body.

#8 Better fitness level
No one judges about your extended sport exercises, so you can do as many exercises at home or you can also go as often to the gym or running as you want to. I just started doing sit-ups in the evening when I have nothing to do.

#9 Leave the bathroom door open
Besides the fact, that you could walk around naked, you can also leave the bathroom door open without worrying that someone will come around the corner.

#10 FREEDOM
The best aspect is that you can literally do what every you would like to do. You have all the independence and freedom to do everything. When you want to cook pasta after a clubbing night at 5 am. or when you want to watch TV while falling asleep, absolutely everything is possible.

I hope you enjoyed this post and when you liked reading this, then please check out her blog. Please have a look here *Link* and leave her a comment by telling whether you liked her post.

I wish you a wonderful day!

Soft Smokey Brown & Pink Evening Make up Tutorial

Hello guys!

I hope you are all feeling well!
Inspired by my latest night outs and the upcoming long summer nights, I though I throw in a little Soft Brown & Pink Evening Make up which gives a slightly smokey look without being too strong and still wearable. By the way, I am so excited about the summer time as I have a lot of beautiful summer make up tutorials in my mind. Let me know in the comment section below whether you would like to see more make up tutorials! But let's get started!

1. Apply a light pink eyeshadow all over the eyelid after priming it.

2. Then I started to apply always a darker brown eyeshadow in the crease so that I slowly build up the colour. Also by layering the product, your eye make up will last the whole day.

3. Then I used a dark rusty brown and smudged it along the upper lash line.

4. Then apply a white eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye.

5. Curl your lashes, apply mascara and that's it.

Overview - all eyeshadows

So that was my wearable smokey, soft brown & pink evening makeup. I hope you liked it and as I have already mentioned above, tell me whether you would like to see some summer make up tutorials and whether you prefer a stronger lip or a stronger eye during the night.

I wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Ginger Spice Muffins

My Ginger Spice Muffins

Hello guys!

How are you?
Next week is my sister's birthday and I saw this lovely recipe video by MissChievous on Youtube, which you can watch here *Link*, in which she showed us how to bake these amazing Ginger Spice Muffins or Cupcakes. Usually, I am not a fan of cupcakes, however, here reaction after tasting one and the unusual, but really interesting recipe, convinced me trying them. I have never baked anything with pumpkin, so I am quiet proud that it turned out that well. I tested them on my parents and they loved them, thus, I will definitely do them for my sister's birthday.

So let's have a look at Julia's recipe:

Julia's Ginger Spice Muffins

Ingredients for 12 cupcakes

125g / 1 cup flour (I used whole wheat but you can also use white)

50g / 1/2 package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt
1.5 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, finely minced
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves
30g / 4 Tblsp. finely chopped crystallized ginger
115g / 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
50g 1/4 cup white sugar*
50g 1/4 cup brown sugar*
2 eggs
1/2 tsp pure vanilla bean paste (or extract)
220g / 8 ounce pumpkin puree (see recipe below)

*If you use a sugar replacement such as Stevia like I did, make sure to read the package instructions to see the sugar conversion chart. If the ratio is not 1:1 you will need to adjust accordingly.

How to Make Homemade Pumpkin Purée

You will need one Red Kuri Squash or other suitable cooking squash, of which you will use about half of it, depending on the size. (If you make more purée than needed, it keeps well in the freezer in a Ziploc bag for other pumpkin baking recipes.) Wash and cut the squash in half, and remove the inside seeds and stringy flesh in the center. Steam the cubed squash for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Alternately you could also roast them in the oven.

Once fully steamed, they should be very soft and fall from your fork. Use a hand mixer, or a potato masher, to blend to a smooth purée, then allow to cool.

Baking the Cupcakes

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups, or line with paper muffin liners. Whisk together the flour, pudding mix, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice, cloves, and half of the crystallized ginger in a bowl; set aside.

Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. The mixture should be noticeably lighter in color. Add the room-temperature eggs one at a time, allowing each egg to blend into the butter mixture before adding the next. Beat in the vanilla and pumpkin puree with the last egg. Stir in the flour mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin cups.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden and the tops spring back when lightly pressed, about 20 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

Make sure your cupcakes are completely cooled before you frost them, otherwise you will have a melting mess! It also helps if the frosting is chilled before working with it. Sprinkle the remaining crystallized ginger on top of the frosted cupcakes for decoration.

Maple-Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

200g / 8 ounces plain cream cheese
50g / 1/4 cup butter
120g / 1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tblsp. dark maple syrup

Cream the butter in a brown until creamy and fluffy. Then cream together the cream cheese with the butter, to prevent any lumps. Mix in the maple syrup and cinnamon, then gradually whisk in the confectioner's sugar. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

So this was here recipe and I can totally recommend this recipe for 100%. The topping is not to heavy and you can cut out a bunch of calories by using Stevia or other sugar replacements. They look really delicious and I am sure that no one can resist them.

Tell me whether you liked them and whether you cook or bake Youtube videos!

Have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Fall/Autumn Fashion Haul (Maison Scotch, Esprit, Only, Review,...)

Hello guys!

How are you?
Did you also go into the shop your the current fall/autumn collection? I don't know what it is but I always freak out with the fall fashion. Obviously, I also buy clothes during other seasons, but the fall fashion really brightens up my heart and I walk through all stores with adrenaline and want to buy literally everything. So I wanted to share with you my fall/ winter clothes for this seasons so far. I also bought a lot of running clothes, but I doubt that is so interesting.

I started in Butler's as I had a voucher from them and bought two storage boxes each for 9,99€. I think there look much more attractive than the usual plastic ones.

So let's start with the fashion. I love this burgundy red cable-knit sweater from H&M for 24,95€. It's super soft and cozy, just perfect for the cold weather.

I searched for such a cap for quite a long time and like some people need a new pair of boots every year, I need a new cap every year. So I chose this cap from Review for 12,95€. I love this fake fur bobble!

I've never heard of this brand reps. never searched there, but they have really great clothes! This green leopard sweater is from Maison Scotch and costs 45,95€. It's a bit pricy but has a fantastic design.

And then I bought something that I wanted FOR YEARS. Long black leather pants! And not the leggins style because I think that looks a bit bitchy. So these leather trousers from Only for 39,95€ are perfect! I think this looks so trendy even when it's cold outside.

Then I bought a really short black skirt with gold studs from Vero Moda for 29,95€. I really like this skirt even though you can't eat a lot before wearing it ;) But it had a little hole in the back, so I have to sew it :(

And then I bought a new between-seasons jacket. I already own a biker jacket which is black with gold zippers, but is really light and doesn't keep you warm. This leather cotton jacket from Esprit for 119,99€ is stylish, warm, really on trend and made out of super good quality.

So this was my fall/autumn haul. I love every single piece of my new purchases. The problem is that my university starts in two weeks and till then, I have literally nothing to do. And what do you do when you have too much time? You go shopping esp. when the mall is 10 minutes away from you. So currently one could define me as a shopaholic, but I hope that this will end in a few weeks :)

Have you bought something from the current collection?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Love,

The Best Time To Check A Blog

Hello guys!

How are you?
I hope you enjoy your day. Today, besides of a little harder workout, I am going to start a cleaning day. Since I am living alone, any dirt or dust literally freaks me out. I think that this will fade after a while, however, till now I can't stand this at all. I also think about sharing my healthy and delicious dinner with you. I don't reveal what I'll cook ;)

So I wanted to share my new blogging schedule. I tried out posting every other day, but I hated the fact that one week you have 4 and then the other 5 posts. Then I tried out posting every single day which worked quite well, but was personally quite stressful. So, from this week I'll post a blog post from Monday to Friday - 5 times a week. And on weekends you have time to read all my posts or just have fun and enjoy the weekend.

This is what works for now. If I am forced to do any chances because of my law study, that starts in October, then I'll let you know that. However, till then I will keep this schedule up and hope that you like this more transparent overview.

I hope you found this helpful and tell me what are you doing today!

Lots of love,

Kiwi Apple Smoothie - Fresh, Light & Super Delicious

Hello guys!

How are you?
I hope you have a beautiful day even though the weather total crap here, just cloudy, cold, rainy and windy. Just the perfect weather to stay in bed with a cup of tea for the whole day. Unfortunately, hardly anyone has the time to do that. Today I want to share with you a really tasty and fresh Kiwi apple smoothie. I didn't expect that apples would taste so good in a smoothie, but I really like it. I think I will do a lot more smoothies with apples. So here we go.

Kiwi Apple Smoothie
Ingredients: 1 Apple, 2 Kiwis, 1/2 juice of an orange, cold water
Calories: 169 cal
Ideal for: extra fruit portion, next to regular meal

This smoothie is incredible juicy, fresh and the perfect mixture between sour and sweet caused by the mixture of orange and apple. This smoothie really made me feel a lot fresher and healthier. I wouldn't recommend it exclusively as a pre-workout drink, if you want to workout then you have to eat something with carbs on top of that. But such a pre-workout drink will come in a few days. The only thing that you have to remember: never combine kiwi, pineapple or papaya with anything milk-based (milk, yogurt etc.). Your drink will be incredible bitter and unenjoyable.

I hope you liked this smoothie recipe and let me know whether you liked this recipe when you have tried it on your own. Do you want more smoothie recipes?

Have a wonderful day!

What to buy for the PERFECT Smoothie

Hello guys!

How are you? I hope you have a wonderful day! I start my (hopefully wonderful) day with a nice and fresh smoothie that satisfies enough and long without being too filling and gives enough energy for my upcoming workout in a few minutes. I think about doing like a smoothie series in which I share with you my favourite smoothie recipes. What do you think about this?

So I went grocery shopping for my smoothie. The key of smoothies is variation and this haul is only a tiny bit of all the ingredients that you can buy for smoothies. I always try to get bananas, strawberries and nectarines, but you have to stay flexible and today I wanted try out some new fruits.

THE INGREDIENTS

// kiwi, oranges, citron, apples, banana //

// frozen raspberries, frozen spinach (great for green smoothies) //

// almond milk, cinnamon //
Instead of almond milk I also often buy soy milk, oat milk or regular milk. I also really like to go with some frozen berries and strawberries and almonds, oats and cayenne pepper are great toppings. I am really in the mood for sharing with you a lot of smoothie recipes. As I have mentioned a few blog post before, I am now living alone, thus, I have a lot more possibilities in terms of sharing all my recipes with you. So if you are interested in rather healthy, I would say, protein-based recipes, then give a shout :)

I hope you are also having a great day, maybe with a nice smoothie in the morning. I am going to go jogging right now.

Lots of love,
